Brain aches, sensitivity to light, cloudy thoughts, blurred vision, high cholesterol + frequent urination

Brain aches, sensitivity to light, cloudy thoughts, blurred vision, high cholesterol + frequent urination?
20 year old male, healthy, no previous medical issues. Have had a blood test for diabetes mellitus but came back fine. It was noted that cholesterol was high for my age. Also had a general blood test to check blood workup, liver, kidney and thyroid - all came back fine. My blood pressure and heart rate fluctuate from time to time, and my family has a history of heart attacks at young ages (my dad recovered from a heart attack when he was 39. His dad also had one at a young age.) I'm a bit of a loss really. I feel like I am unable to concentrate, from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep. I always feel unrested as well, and have difficulty getting up in the morning, as well as falling asleep in the first place. I am an intelligent individual studying law at university, but I feel it is beginning to affect my ability to work and focus. It becomes especially prevalent when I'm in a bright area (like a supermarket) or there are many visual or audial stimuli. It's as though my brain cannot focus on everything occuring around me, and I find it difficlut to find words and speak at times - as though I'm fading out of consciousness. What is wrong with me? Thanks in advance

sounds to me like you may be developing an anxiety disorder. you may want to consult your doctor about what you are experiencing.
2 :
Chris, have them do a deeper blood panel workup, test T3 and T4 thyroid levels, the general tests don't always show thyroid problems and these are more specific. I would also since you have a high history of heart problems have some tests, EKG, heart stress test, holter monitor, maybe heart ultrasound to make sure things are ok, then it's a baseline to check in the future if you have any heart issues later on. Best to get that cholesterol down. Hope you feel better.

Well, sir, it sounds like you've tried everything else. Try this: Say from your heart, "Jesus, if you REALLY are the MIGHTY GOD, come into my heart and life right now, and deliver me from these curses and diseases and troubles that are afflicting my life and mind. If you really are a savior, save me, O God!" Isa 9:6 -- ...His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Psa 54:1 -- ...Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength. 2 Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth. Isa 19:20 -- And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them. ...and He will deliver YOU too.
2 :
To be perfectly honest, I am clueless on what you can do. I do know as a Christian, the only hope is Jesus Christ! He is able to deliver His children from any circumstance, and He is always there, just a word away. I would suggest speaking to Him, He will listen..
3 :
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Hypothetically with knowing how to identify one who is having a acid-base deficit could I diagnosis someone

Hypothetically with knowing how to identify one who is having a acid-base deficit could I diagnosis someone?
I was recently taught in the nursing program about acid and bases in my pathophysiology class and now just finished the course. If for example a patient comes into ER with symptoms of feeling fatigue and having a distinguish fruity smell from their breath. I suspect ketoneacidosis and that he/she may have type 1 diabetes mellitus. With getting the lab values back from the lab I see that his/her blood serum ph is 7.45 , PCO is 30mmHg and the HCO is 28mmHg. With knowing this I see that the patient is experiencing Respiratory Alkaline with a complete metabolic compensate. I this a possible diagnosis or even a proper one? With this knowledge of being able to figure out someone who is with such symptoms and then seeing on their lab values and such and making a diagnosis is possible? I know I can't really make a diagnoses and that only can a physician do so, but I was just wondering out of curiosity? Thanks! note: HCO is 20mmHg not 28mmHg

A patient with the fruity smell on their breath is going to be a Diabetic Ketoacidosis patient, Acidosis being the key factor there. They breathe fast in order to blow off the carbon dioxide which is causing the acidosis. I think that a PH of 7.45 is very unlikely in this situation. The diagnosis should be Comensated metabolic alkylosis. Normal lab values for HCO is 22-26, so that is elevated and causing the high end of normal on the PH. The PCO normal range is 35-45, it is decreased to compensate for the high bicarb. Bottom line, the Bicarb value is high. The respiratory factor PCO is low to compensate for the high bicarb. Hope this helps!
