I have been diagnosed with this nasty thing. It's when insulin receptors on cells begin to decrease in number and then your body becomes insulin resistant. It loves to store fat and get sluggish. Obese people are often in one of the stages leading to IR. Exercise will help IR. I think the last one is diabetes II in its early stage. IR usually leads to this. Plainly and simply insulin is like a warehouse regualtor. It tells the body to ignore, reject or accept warehouse orders.
