Usually accelerated b/c the whole body will be over working to keep up. You will also usually have gum inflammation and gum trouble and potentially bone loss/gum disease, mouth wise. This is a symptom many undiagnosed diabetics have.

I am not sure what respiratory patterns have to do with high glucose levels?? but then again, couchpotato disease doesn't get exercise, over eats bad foods, and doesn't stress their lungs more than moving the controls of some electronics or other. My breathing and exercising were no problem until I started taking all this chemical junk to control the glucose levels.

They may have no pattern. The respiration's can be perfectly normal.

In untreated diabetes mellitus, ketoacidosis can develop. This means the blood is acidic due to overproduction of ketone bodies. This drives deep sighing, the body's attempt to breathe off the extra ketones.
